MIAMI (AP) — Jake Arrieta’s 100th career Antworten

victory left him in a mood to look back — and ahead.“On to 200 Reggie Jackson Jersey ,” the 33-year-old right-hander said. That sounds good to the Philadelphia Phillies, who benefited from Arrieta’s seven-inning effort Friday to send the Miami Marlins to their fifth consecutive loss, 9-1 on Friday night.Arrieta (2-1) allowed one run and five hits, struck out eight and lowered his ERA to 2.25 in three starts. The former NL Cy Young Award winner improved to 100-68 in 10 seasons.“Accomplishing something like I did tonight makes you appreciate everything you go through — a lot of ups and downs and figuring some things out, forgetting some things, relearning them,” Arrieta said. “This game is very humbling, and I’ll never forget that.”He’s the 18th active pitcher to reach the victory milestone.“Quite an accomplishment,” manager Gabe Kapler said. “Just a proud moment for the club.”Arrieta took a 6-0 lead into the seventh, when Miami ended a streak of 21 consecutive scoreless innings on Austin Dean’s sacrifice fly.The Marlins have lost nine of their past 10 games , and they’ve been outscored 30-2 in the past four. Manager Don Mattingly said Arrieta a big factor in the latest feeble offensive effort.“Their guy was really good,” Mattingly said. “He got ahead in the count. His command was as good as we’ve seen this year. He was able to throw strikes with a lot of different pitches.”The Phillies’ J.T. Realmuto hit into a double play with the bases loaded to end the first inning, but finished with two hits, two runs and an RBI. He made a nifty headfirst slide to score from third on a bloop single in the fifth. The game was Realmuto’s first at Marlins Park since Miami traded him in February.Andrew McCutchen had three hits, including a three-run homer in the eighth. The Phillies’ leadoff hitter set the tone in the first inning by going from first to third on a single to left.Florida native McCutchen has homered in his past three games at Marlins Park.“It’s always nice to come back to my home state,” he said. “I got a fresh haircut today, and it felt really good. I had the look good, feel good part down. So I just needed to play good. I got that out of the way too.”McCutchen hit opposite-field singles against a shift in the third and sixth innings. When the Marlins abandoned the shift in the eighth, he homered to center.Bryce Harper had an RBI and two hits to hike his average to .325 as the Phillies tied a season high with 14 hits.Sandy Alcantara (1-1) gave up six runs and 11 hits, both the highest totals of his brief career Yunel Escobar Jersey , while working five innings. The Phillies reached Alcantara for six consecutive hits and five runs in the third. Rhys Hoskins doubled home one run, and Odubel Herrera added a two-run double.DIVISION RIVALRYSince the start of last year, the Phillies have won 12 of 20 meetings with the Marlins while outscoring them 112-60. This was the first meeting this season.“Every day you learn,” said Marlins catcher Jorge Alfaro, who had two of their five hits. “We battled. We tried to stay positive.”ROSTER MOVESThe Phillies recalled RHP Victor Arano from Triple-A Lehigh Valley, and he pitched a hitless eighth and ninth. The Marlins optioned OF Peter O’Brien to Triple-A New Orleans and recalled Dean from New Orleans.UP NEXTRHP Zach Eflin (2-0, 0.75) is scheduled to make his third start of the season Saturday for the Phillies against LHP Caleb Smith (0-1, 4.09). The longer Machado and Harper remain on the market, the more chances increase that Moose signs with Milwaukee."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Brewers Rumors and SpeculationConversation StartersWPA Game RecapsTransactionsLatest NewsMLB Trade RumorsBrewers Rumors and SpeculationMike Moustakas reunion with the Milwaukee Brewers "feels inevitable," per reportNew Martin Maldonado Jersey ,87commentsThe longer Machado and Harper remain on the market, the more chances increase that Moose signs with Milwaukee.CSTShareTweetShareShareMike Moustakas reunion with the Milwaukee Brewers "feels inevitable," per reportJayne Kamin-Oncea-USA TODAY SportsReports linking Mike Moustakas and the Milwaukee Brewers seem as plentiful as news about Harper and Machado (that is a gross exaggeration, yet there have been a lot). Ken Rosenthal offers the latest in the Athletic.Rosenthal suggests an inevitability of a reunion between the two parties, and the chances increase with every day Machado, and to a lesser extent Bryce Harper remain in free agency. Rosenthal goes on to reinforce conventional wisdom. The Brewers would want to sign Moose to a one-year deal, move Travis Shaw to second base for the 2019 season and back to third base in 2020, and ultimately not block the ascendency of Keston Hiura once he is ready. Most Brewers’ fans are probably comfortable with the idea of bringing Moustakas back. He was instrumental in Milwaukee’s run to the playoffs. Of course we know that he has serious power potential, hitting as many as 38 home runs in the 2017 season. Part of the appeal of bringing Moose to Milwaukee is dreaming on his left-handed power in Miller Park. Unfortunately his power did not translate in a meaningful way after he arrived in Milwaukee. Moose hit only eight home runs in 218 plate appearances as a Brewer. He did hit 28 on the season, however. It is a good bet that he will approach 30 home runs playing an entire season with the Brewers. Signing Moustakas obviously lengthens the Brewers lineup. On most nights a slugger will be hitting in the seven-hole if Moustakas signs with the Brew Crew. Forget “Harvey’s Wallbangers ,” Brewer faithful will call this team “Counsell’s Crankers.” Or something much better than that, but you get the picture. Let’s not forget that Moose fit into the Brewers clubhouse very well. And of course Moose, Christian Yelich, and Ryan Bran forged deeper bonds as a result of their involvement and leadership with the California Strong campaign. If he is back, the clubhouse atmosphere maybe as good as ever, and that is saying something.Statistics courtesy of Baseball-Reference
